Terms
Last updated October 26, 2026
The short version. Don’t be an asshole. Show up when you say you will. Crewd helps guys find each other; it doesn’t run, check or watch any plan, so what happens at a plan is on the guys there, not us. We can kick anyone out. You’re 21 or older. If we ever fight about something, it goes to individual arbitration, not a courtroom or a class action, unless you opt out within 30 days.
Please read section 14 (Disputes and arbitration). It affects your rights, including your right to go to court and to join a class action.
1. Who we are and what this is
- Crewd Space (“Crewd”, “we”, “us”) is run by Michael Delgado, a sole proprietor based in Germany. Our address is in the imprint.
- These terms are a contract between you and us. You accept them by ticking the box when you sign up, when you agree to new terms, or when you set up a venue. If you don’t agree, don’t use Crewd.
- The privacy policy, the house rules below, the waiver in section 8, and, for venues, section 11 are part of these terms.
- Crewd is offered in the United States for now. Section 14 covers people outside it.
2. Who can join
By making an account you promise that:
- You’re 21 or older and can legally make this contract.
- For now Crewd is for men’s crews. Women’s and mixed crews are coming.
- You have one account, it’s yours, and its photo is a real, current photo of your own face.
- You have never been convicted of, or pleaded guilty or no contest to, a violent crime or a sex crime, and you aren’t required to register as a sex offender anywhere.
- We haven’t banned you before, and the law doesn’t bar you from using a service like this.
If any of that stops being true, stop using Crewd and delete your account.
3. House rules
- Whatever you do, don’t be an asshole. That’s the big one, and it covers whatever the rest forgot. Crude is fine. Mean isn’t. Give each other shit, not grief.
- Show up when you say you will.
- No selling, recruiting or pitching: no crypto, MLMs, insurance, coaching or your cousin’s anything.
- Tap means stop, on the mat and everywhere else. No means no, the first time.
- Not a dating app. Nobody’s here to get hit on, and nobody gets sexual content or advances they didn’t ask for.
- Put a real face on it, and only your own.
Also never, on Crewd or at a plan:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, discriminate against or hurt anyone.
- Post anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that isn’t yours to post.
- Pretend to be someone else, or share anyone’s private information without their okay.
- Sell, offer or bring illegal drugs, or use Crewd for anything illegal.
- Charge money for a spot on a plan, or use a plan to sell something. Guys splitting the cost of the brisket among themselves is their business.
- Bring anyone under 21 to a plan.
- Scrape, copy or crawl Crewd, use bots, get around a time-out or ban, or mess with how Crewd works or its security.
4. Time-outs, bans and reports
- Three no-shows or late cancels in 60 days put you in a time-out for 14 days (30 if it happens again within 90 days after a time-out ends), and so do two separate selling reports. While you’re in one, your upcoming plans are cancelled and you can’t join, host, post, invite, move city or visit another city. Selling also ranks you down for 30 days.
- A third time-out within a year goes to us for review, and can end in a ban.
- A report of harassment, creepy behavior or danger can suspend your account at once while we look at it. We can ban you for good.
- We decide what breaks the rules, and we can remove posts, plans, photos or accounts, limit features, or end your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason that isn’t illegal. We aren’t required to watch what members do, and we don’t promise to catch everything.
- Members never see who reported them. Making false reports to get someone in trouble breaks the rules.
- If you think we got it wrong, email us at [email protected]. A person will look at it.
5. What Crewd is, and what it isn’t
- Crewd is a platform. It lets members post plans, find each other, and talk. Members and venues create and run their own plans and events. We don’t organize, host, lead, supervise, staff, insure, inspect or attend them, and we aren’t a tour operator, event organizer, guide, trainer, venue or security service.
- Hosts, members and venues aren’t our employees, agents, partners or representatives, and they don’t speak for us.
- We don’t run background checks or verify anyone’s identity, criminal record, age, health, skills or intentions. We look at photos by eye and act on reports. That’s it. Ranks, “Solid guy”, show-up rates and reviews describe what happened on Crewd, not who someone is, and they aren’t a promise about anyone.
- We review venue pins before they go up, but a review isn’t an inspection of the venue, its safety, its licenses or its event.
- Be smart: meet in public places, tell someone where you’re going, get there on your own, don’t share more than you want to, and leave if something feels off. Call 911 in an emergency, then report it to us.
6. Your account and your stuff
- Keep your email account secure; signing in to Crewd works through it. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- What you post (posts, replies, plans, your photo, your one-liner) stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, show, copy, adapt and share it as needed to run, improve and promote Crewd, for as long as it’s on Crewd and for a reasonable time after (backups, records, and anything already shared). We won’t use your face in ads without asking you.
- You promise you have the right to post it, and that it doesn’t break the law or anyone’s rights.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we can use them without owing you anything.
- Copyright complaints: email [email protected] with the work, where it is on Crewd, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you own the right or act for the owner. We remove what infringes and close accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Plans are on you: assumption of risk
Plans involve real risk. Lifting, sparring, grappling, climbing, hiking, riding, running, ball sports, water, heat, cold, ranges, tools, engines, fire, food, alcohol, driving, and being around people you don’t know well can lead to injury, illness, property damage, loss, or death. Some of these risks can’t be removed, even with care.
- You choose which plans to join and you take part voluntarily, at your own risk. You’re responsible for knowing your limits.
- You’re responsible for your own health, fitness, gear, transport, insurance, and for following the rules and waivers of any gym, range, park or venue. Talk to a doctor first if you’re not sure you should be doing something.
- Drink responsibly, and never drive impaired. You’re responsible for anything you do under the influence.
- We don’t control and aren’t responsible for what any member, host, venue or other person does, says, brings or fails to do.
8. The plan waiver
The first time you join, ask to join, or host each plan (and again if we change the oath), you tick it:
“By my honor and on my soul, I shall not be an asshole.” I'm 21+, I'm in at my own risk, and I know my limits. Crewd doesn't run, check or watch this plan, and whatever happens there is on the guys who are there.
Hosts: “By my honor and on my soul, I shall not be an asshole, and I'll run this plan straight.” I'm not a pro, a guide or a guard, and nobody's paying me. I'll pick a safe spot and say what it takes. Everyone comes at his own risk, me included.
Ticking it means you agree, for that plan, to this section and section 7. In plain words and in legal ones:
- Release. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release, waive and discharge Michael Delgado, Crewd Space, and anyone acting for us (together, the “Crewd Parties”) from all claims, demands, losses, damages and liability of any kind, known or unknown, arising out of or connected with any plan, any meeting with people you found through Crewd, or the conduct of any member, host or venue, including claims for injury, illness, death or property damage, and including claims based on the Crewd Parties’ ordinary negligence.
- Covenant not to sue. You agree not to sue the Crewd Parties over anything released above.
- California residents (and anyone where a similar law applies) waive California Civil Code section 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”
- Hosts. You run your plan on your own behalf, not ours. You aren’t paid and you don’t charge for spots. You choose a spot that suits the plan and say plainly what it takes (skill, gear, fitness, cost). Your oath on a weekly plan covers its repeats. You’re not promising anyone’s safety, and neither are we.
- This waiver is meant to be as broad as the law allows. If part of it can’t be enforced where you live, the rest still applies. It doesn’t release claims that can’t be released by law, such as claims for our gross negligence, willful misconduct or fraud.
9. Crewd Pro
- Showing up is free. Hosting is free up to 3 plans coming up and 1 weekly plan at a time.
- Crewd Pro costs $9 a month or $69 a year, plus sales tax where it applies, and renews automatically at that price every month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time in Crewd Pro on the You tab, or by emailing us. It runs to the end of the period you paid for. We don’t refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
- Pro we give you (like the first 100 guys in a city, or a month for hosting five plans that happened) ends on the date we tell you. If you subscribe while it covers you, billing starts when it ends.
- We may change Pro’s price or features. A price change applies from your next renewal, and we’ll tell you at least 30 days before.
- If your account is suspended, Pro stops renewing and you keep it to the end of the period you paid for. If you’re banned or delete your account, Pro ends at once, without a refund.
- Stripe handles payments under its own terms. We never see your card number.
10. Emails and notifications
- We send emails and notifications about your account, your plans, your city opening and the house rules. You choose most of them in You → Notifications; safety notices always go out. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- Group chat links, maps and other services linked from Crewd are run by others under their own terms. We aren’t responsible for them.
11. Venue terms
If you set up a venue on Crewd, you agree to this section too, for yourself and for the business you set up (“your venue”).
- You have authority to bind your venue, and the details you give are true and kept up to date.
- The venue plan costs $99 a month, plus sales tax, and renews automatically every month until you cancel. Founding venues (up to 10 per city, chosen by us) get their first 3 months free and then $49 a month for the 12 months after that, then the regular price. We ask for a card at signup and charge nothing during free months.
- No refunds. Cancel any time in the billing portal; it runs to the end of the month you paid for. If we remove your venue for breaking these terms, the subscription ends at once with no refund.
- Pins show only while the subscription is paid, and only after we review them. We can refuse, pause or remove any pin or venue at any time. Up to 2 pins can be live, in review or coming up at once. We don’t promise any number of views, crews or customers.
- Your events are on you. You’re solely responsible for every event you pin and for your premises: its safety, staff, security, food, alcohol service (including checking IDs and not over-serving), permits, licenses, accessibility, taxes, and compliance with the law. Keep commercial general liability insurance (and liquor liability insurance if you serve alcohol) in amounts normal for your business.
- Events you pin are open to the public as you describe them, and you won’t pin anything misleading, illegal or unsafe.
- You let us show your venue’s name, logo, photos and event details on Crewd and in posts about Crewd.
- You’ll defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Crewd Parties from any claim, loss, liability, damage, fine or cost (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your venue, your premises, your events, your staff, or your breach of these terms.
12. If someone sues us over what you did
To the extent the law allows, you’ll defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Crewd Parties from any claim, loss, liability, damage or cost (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by anyone else, arising out of your conduct at or around any plan, what you post, your breach of these terms, or your violation of the law or anyone’s rights. We can take over the defense of a claim, and you’ll cooperate.
13. Disclaimers and limits on our liability
CREWD IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T PROMISE THAT CREWD WILL BE AVAILABLE, ACCURATE, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY MEMBER, HOST, VENUE OR PLAN IS SAFE, SUITABLE OR WHAT IT CLAIMS TO BE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS: (A) THE CREWD PARTIES AREN’T LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL; (B) THE CREWD PARTIES AREN’T LIABLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY MEMBER, HOST, VENUE OR OTHER THIRD PARTY, ON OR OFF CREWD; AND (C) THE CREWD PARTIES’ TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO CREWD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, such as liability for fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury where the law forbids limiting it.
14. Disputes and arbitration
- Talk to us first. Before filing anything, email [email protected] with your name, your account email, what happened and what you want. We’ll both try in good faith to settle it within 60 days.
- Individual arbitration. If we can’t settle it, you and we agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to Crewd or these terms (including whether this section applies) will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act, administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (and, for 25 or more similar claims, its Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules, with claims heard in batches). The arbitration can be by video or in the county where you live. Fees follow the AAA rules, which put most of them on us. The arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could, but only for you.
- No class actions, no jury. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join any class, collective or representative action. If this waiver can’t be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court, after the arbitration of everything else.
- Exceptions. Either of us can bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us can go to court to stop the misuse of intellectual property or a breach of security.
- Opting out. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing [email protected] with your name, your account email, and that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out doesn’t change anything else here.
- Law. For people in the United States, these terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the state you live in can’t be set aside. Any claim that goes to court goes to the state or federal courts in Delaware, unless the law gives you the right to sue where you live.
- Outside the United States. Crewd isn’t offered outside the US yet. If you use it from elsewhere, German law applies, except for consumer protections of the country where you live that can’t be set aside, and if you aren’t a consumer, the courts of Frankfurt am Main, Germany, have jurisdiction.
- Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, unless the law gives you longer.
15. Changes and ending things
- We may change these terms. When the change matters, we’ll tell you and ask you to agree again before you keep using Crewd. Changes don’t reach back to disputes we already knew about.
- You can stop using Crewd and delete your account at any time in You. We can end or suspend your access as described above.
- Sections 5 to 8 and 11 to 16 keep applying after your account ends, along with anything else that by its nature should (like what you owe us, or what you agreed to at a plan).
16. The rest of the legal stuff
- These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Crewd and replace anything before them.
- If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, it’s changed as little as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stays.
- If we don’t enforce something right away, we haven’t given it up.
- You can’t transfer these terms. We can, for example if Crewd is sold or moves to a company.
- We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control.
- These terms are written in English. If we translate them, the English version wins.
